Robert N. Hamparyan (Trial Attorney)

2008 San Diego Trial Lawyer of the Year Robert Hamparyan is an experienced motorcycle rider. He started riding dirt bikes when he was eight years old, and continued his passion for riding. He has participated in desert riding events,  dirt track racing and has owned and raced various dirt bikes and road bikes, ranging from the 125 cc to 450 cc dirt bikes, and super bikes ranging from the 600 cc to 1100 cc class bikes. Robert has raced various road courses in California and Nevada, including Willow Springs and Pahrump.

Along with his passion for track racing, Robert enjoys riding with his friends and participates in rides to Palomar Mountain, Laughlin, Mexico and Northern California.

Robert has owned various road bikes including a 1980 Harley Davidson Shovelhead, a 1993 Harley Davidson Fat Boy, a 1994 Harley Davidson Flt and a one of custom rigid frame pro street chopper with a 124 cubic inch S&S motor.

He has owned and raced a number of super bikes including the Yamaha FZR 1000, Suzuki GSXR 1100, Yamaha R6 and the R1. He currently rides and races his R6 on track days and occasional organized rides with friends.

Ownership means knowledge of the mechanical workings of a bike. Robert has repaired and maintained his bikes for many years. Aside from major engine rebuilds, he has undertaken a number of very time consuming projects such as dismantling and putting together a basket Harley Shovelhead, to a completely restored condition. Robert also repairs his dirt bikes and maintains and continues to prepare his R6 for track days.

Robert’s love for motorcycles riding extends to his own children, who started riding at a very young age, and continue to enjoy dirt bike riding with the family.

Because of his passion for motorcycles, Robert has always shown special care and loyalty to all motorcycle riders, regardless of their riding styles or experience. He understands the current trend of more commuter riders in the last few years, because of the rising cost of fuel and the traffic congestion on our freeways and roadways. Understanding the difficulties of road riding and the skills expected from a rider has helped Robert to represent countless  injured motorcyclists in their claims against negligent automobile drivers.  Robert has also represented the families of persons tragically killed in motorcycle accidents because of the wrongdoing of others.

Robert’s peers have consistently recognized him as one of the leading trial attorneys in California.  He was named the 2008 Trial Lawyer of the Year by the Consumer Attorneys of San Diego – the highest award a San Diego trial lawyer can receive.   In 2009, he was named one of San Diego’s Top 10 personal injury attorneys in a peer review poll conducted by the San Diego Daily Transcript.
If you or someone you love has been involved in a motorcycle accident, you need a top trial attorney that understands motorcycles and motorcycle accidents.  Robert Hamparyan is that attorney.
